Footstool, or help with putting on shoes. I have never seen this Thonet style bench before. It is provided with ribbed aluminum plate at the top. 40cm high, 37cm long and 16cm wide. Definitely an object that will be asked a lot of questions if this is in your living room. Dated in the 1920s-30s
